



The Billboard Charts are the United States' music industry standard for record charting songs; published weekly by Billboard magazine. This web site's chart rankings are based on sales, jukebox selections and radio play beginning with the first week in 1950 when the 45 rpm was starting to take over record sales. Here, the charts will encompass only the top ten songs in the US from January, 1950 to December, 1989.
