45 RECORD PRESERVATION MUSEUM FLOOR PLAN

Each of the decade areas, 1950’s, 1960’s, 1970’s & 1980’s will have ten separate display rooms corresponding to each year of the decade (1950 to 1989 only). Those rooms will each highlight the top 10 songs of the year, display posters commemorating popular singers of the time, and provide audio kiosks for visitors to listen to any song that hit the charts for that year. A glass enclosed cat walk positioned above a large display area will allow visitors to look down on the Museum’s complete collection of 45 rpm records, and to view all the 45s in the sales inventory.

•   The Museum will have handicap accessible bathroom and wide aisles.

•   There will be an in-house server and internet hosting capability.

•   The photographic department will handle label graphics, posters and displays.
